Great Niece of John, Granddaughter of Val, Second Cousin to Maina, Sister to Piers
Kate trained at RADA. After graduating she joined the John McGrath 7/84 Company playing Jenny in Soft or a Girl directed by Pam Brighton.
Her London theatre credits include;
Die Fledermaus (Ida) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden with Kiri Te Kanawa. Conducted by Zubin Mehta with choreography by Frederic Ashton. At the Apollo, Mrs Klein with Francesca Annis and Zoe Wanamaker, and Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell with Peter O’Toole. Vanilla at The Lyric, directed by Harold Pinter with Joanna Lumley and various productions with the Peter Hall Company at the Old Vic, The Haymarket and The Gielgud and she has also appeared at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Plays at the National Theatre include; The Importance of Being Earnest with Judi Dench, Wild Honey with Ian McKellan, Venice Preserved with Stephanie Beacham, You Can’t Take it With You with Geraldine Mckewan (all in the Lyttleton Theatre), The Rivals with Tim Curry (in the Olivier), and Golden Boy for the Bill Bryden Company in the Cottesloe and Schism, directed by John Burgess which the National also took to Edinburgh. Her most recent London Theatre appearance in Nov 2005 was in the new play Totally Practically Naked In My Bedroom On A Wednesday Night by Rikki Beadle Blair (author/director of Metrosexuality for Ch 4).
Her regional theatre credits include;
Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Mask of Moriarty with Geoffrey Palmer at Leicester Haymarket and the Headmistress in Daisy Pulls it off. Tom Stoppards On the Razzle (Frau Fischer) and Neil Simon’s 4 hander Last of the Red Hot Lovers at the Northcott Theatre Exeter and a number one tour of Lady Chatterley’s Lover (Lady C’s sister Hilda) with Patrick Mower.
Kate’s television appearances include;
Yes Prime Minister, and the series Maiden’s Trip for BBC2, most recently she was seen on Channel 4’s celebrity Come Dine With Me and as a contributor for 100 best actresses for Channel 5 and TV commercials including one for Heinz Spaghetti.

Kate aged 14
During her time at the National Theatre Kate worked on many new plays at the National Theatre Studio and was employed to lead voice and movement classes for the Company (Kate has trained as a fitness teacher). She also taught voice and movement sessions for the BBC Radio rep Company and has taught drama and directed final productions at ALRA, Webber Douglas Academy and the LAPA. She was also head of voice at E15 Acting School for a year.
During her time as an acting and dialogue coach for film, Kate has worked with Christian Slater on Prince of Thieves and Tim Robbins on Terry Jones Erik the Viking where she met her future husband, actor Tim Killick, who was playing a Viking.
Kate has many voice over credits, documentary commentary work and recording audio books including a series of Fairy Tales for the Ivory Shell series (which were enjoyed by Princess Margaret’s grandchildren). On Radio she was heard in Radio 4’s comedy Sketch Show One at the beginning of this year.
Kate’s credits as a Theatre Director include Martin Sherman’s Bent at the Etcetera Theatre, which transferred to the BAC, she has also directed shows at The Kings Head, The Canal Café Little Venice and Pentameters and the New End Hampstead.

Since the 1990s Kate has been the director of children’s entertainment company ‘Tiddleywinks’ and her fairy tale ballet and adventure parties have been enjoyed by thousands of children including sons and daughters of royalty and celebrities. She now writes, produces and directs murder mystery plays for children at events.
In 2006 Kate joined her brother Piers at Re|animator Management, working as a theatrical agent.
